A great thru-hike that almost resulted in all four of the "Lost, Last SOBO's" finishing together. We got split up at the first shelter coming out of Franklin, NC; GreenThumb and I pushed on while Elvis and BlueBerry stayed there, the snow was fricking deep! Anyway, Greenthumb and I were tired of the snow and just wanted to haul arse to Hiawasse and of course Springer. HYOH, EH! FWIW; I heard that there was a couple of SOBO's behind us but nothing was confirmed. It's funny how your hiking partners are determined by fate and circumstance with a bit of unexpectedness at the end!
