What temperature do you think I could stay comfortable at with this set up:

No Sniveller as underquilt
20 degree synthetic mummy bag
JRB weather shield

I would be wearing a silkwight longsleeve shirt, long underwear, and socks. I also consider myself a warm sleeper. Do you think it could take my below freezing? And what about if I added a pad?

I don't own the JRB stuff yet but I plan on making them my next purchase. Especially with the sale they have going.:D

Assuming a good fit, dinner before bed, etc - I could take that to just below 30 F, but I sleep cold...YMMV.

Sgt Rock has posted that rig as effective at 25... We have used that set up with the Nest in liew of the No Sniveller ( same thickness of down) to below 30.

i was around mt rogers this past weekend where the night temps were upper 20's and my setup kept me comfortable. hh with a 15degree mountainsmith vision, 3/8 closed cell foam pad from target, automobile reflector from target, and a z-lite ridgerest. the foam pad keeps the hh spread wider than the ridgerest so it was used on the bottom, them the ridgerest and next the windshield reflector-foil side up. my clothing as a montbell u.l thermawrap jacket and pants with a balaclava. toasty to say the least. hope this helps.

You can deffently make it below zero if you are a warm sleeper! I had a sweat shirt and pants with two pairs of socks as well a a synthic bag that went to -20*C. I also had a blue pad that was a little less then one centimetre thick. it hit about -10*c and i was fine! my feet were cold but other words i was fine and i think you can easy pull that off. I suggest a pad though they really do help a lot! Go for the coldest you can! Just make sure your head is covered and watch for how cold your feet may get. Good luck and keep warm. Post how it went!
