How are these for comfort compared to the backpacker types (Hennessy/Speer)? I'm guessing nowhere close, but I could be wrong.

O.K., Neo...I was hoping "from experience" you could elaborate on the comfort of these hammocks. I'm curious as to how they feel compared to other types of hammocks since, apparently, you've tried both.
Maybe I didn't word my question properly.
the only time i have been unfortable is on the ground,i have never been uncomfortable in any properly hung hammock in my collection:cool: neo
Neo, I think he is asking how the above mentioned hammock compares to a HH ect..

Well, I've never used the specific budget hammock in question, but I've used a lot of different types of hammocks. Generally, they all feel just about the same. The biggest differences to me come from length (both of the hammock body and of the ridgeline) and the fabric. The most comfortable hammocks that I've ever used were homemade out of a single layer of 1.1oz ripstop nylon. This is a very "stretchy" fabric and conforms excellently to your body. Great stuff. The length of the hammock and the length of the ridgeline effect how flat you are while lying in the hammock. Other than that, a hammock is a hammock (to me, anyway).
