For your information, the Blurb contained on the website:
"McCartney has written the definitive trail food book. He packs fun-to-read information around a uniquely effective and simple approach to trail food. Travel Light is the only source that brings together: ingredients, recipes, menus, nutritional information, weights, and calories into a powerful system. The easy recipes use only ingredients found on grocer’s shelves so you will never again have to spend days peeling, chopping, dicing, and dehydrating to enjoy the benefits of “trail food!” The menus satisfy the most ravenous appetites, while the extensive variety eliminates “ration monotony.” Simply put, this book is the ideal planning companion for all outdoor enthusiasts!"
I now have Sarbar's Book which has been a huge help to my trip planning. I will see how this one stacks up. Very interesting that two similar books should start selling within months of each other. From my first feeble trials with some of Sarbar's recipes, I have to say, FBC is the way to go...
