I have a handmade canvas backpack with a wood frame and leather shoulder straps and waist belt. Does anyone have Information on these packs or no much about them? It fits me great and and is real comfortable. It is a waxed/oiled canvas with one large main pocket, two side pockets and an extra pocket on the back. It weighs about 7 lbs and was handmade in the 80's from what little information I have on them. I have only seen a couple around.

Hi,
Do you still have your Segen?
If so, how much are you asking for it?
Thanks

Just saw your replay to my query looking for a Segen Back Pack. Is it still available.
Dear lenrein2,
Would you be interested in selling it. I live in Mentor, OH.

It would be cool thru hiking with a pack like that even though it weighs alot. Actually, I used a Gregory Baltoro and I think it was around 6 and a half pounds.

Seems like a cool thing to own though if it were hanging on the wall.. It's cool to see what our ancestors used to have to lug around (emphasis on see, lol).

That is what I was thinking of doing with mine. Its first big trip was a 5 nighter in the Tetons in 1980. I would never guess it weighs 7 llbs, though. I'll have to weigh it.
I saw one of those at Bascom Lodge during my '94 hike. Would love to find one for sale.
