I'm going to build a ray-way 2 person deluxe quilt and since they are out of they're recommended thread, I was wondering what others I might be able to use that are as durable?

Just stay away from the cheap stuff and make sure it's 100% polyester and you'll be ok. I use Gutermans.

And don't let them sell you on polyester coated cotton thread or anything less than 100% polyester - it'll supposedly rot in the field. But then, I haven't had any thread in my clothing just rot out so that may be a myth Jardine started to sell his "recommended thread." :p

Sounds good, any recommended place to buy? This is my first sewing project.

Not Walmart. Just pick any sewing or craft store in the area...it's not specialty thread.
