View Full Version : Mont Bell Hexagon v Big Agnes SL2 Tent
I am looking to replace my current Eureka Exo 2 tent with a lightweight double wall tent. The Mont Bell is close to 3 lbs and has the option of using just the rainfly. Has anyone had experience with this tent? The other tent I was looking at is the Big Agnes SL2 which has the same option of using just the rainfly.
I appreciate any input.
I think both companies make good gear. My brother has an SL3 and is quite nice, I have a marmot bag. I'd say which ever will give you the most room. The BA is a freestanding tent if that makes a difference to you. HTH
I decided on the Rainbow tarptent. It should be here today. I could not find any reviews on the Mont Bell. I wanted something lightweight and freestanding. The Rainbow fullfilled both requirements.
