Jarrard Gap to Springer

I will be section hiking 2 days in mid-May with some out of town buds. Any campsite recommendations about halfway or more twixt Jarrard Gap and Springer?

Second, how is the water situation in mid-May?

Justus creek (13.6 miles from Springer) or Gooch Mtn. shelter(14.9 miles from Springer)

Water shouldn't be a problem.:)

Either Gooch Mtn shelter or Justus Creek should be near the midpoint of that hike. Leaving Justus Creek northbound there will be about six miles of no water but it's always like that, not just mid-May. Other sources should be ok.
