Dulles to Harpers Ferry Train/Shuttle

Need this around 5/20. I take it $9.00 MARC doesn't serve Dulles, so perhaps I'd better go to DCA, altho Dulles is so much closer to the AT. Advice?

MARC doesn't serve Dulles OR DCA because Dulles and DCA are both in Virginia and MARC is Maryland's transportation system.

If you are coming in from Davie, it's probably cheapest to take Spirit Airlines from Ft. Lauderdale to DCA. If you can fly into DCA, you can then take Metro to Union Station in DC and take Amtrak to Harper's Ferry. If you fly into Dulles, you'd still have to go to Union Station in DC to catch your train which is a waste of time.

A bit late, but if you fly into Dulles Airport, from there you can take the Washington Flyer to the Falls Church Metro Station on the Orange Line. From there you can take the Metro to Union Station, and from there to Harpers Ferry. Washington Flyer leaves usually on the :15s and :45s of every hour (at least did 6 months ago, when last I used it). Takes about 20 minutes to get to the Metro Station, then about 1/2 an hour ride to Union Station. The Flyer is $8 one way I think, and the Metro will be about $3.00.
