Obviously I'm interested in the high-speed hammock hanging thingy - where can I get more details? Looks like a ring on a tree hugger, then pass that through a loop, then tie a figure-8 bend into it...anyone see it close enough to know if this is correct? I'm curious if I could leave off the metal ring and still accomplish the same thing...sounds much quicker than the HH/lineman's knot I use now.
Great to see a hammocker won something!
Just Jeff, I've added a photo showing the webbing and the ring:

I'm not sure, no pun intended, about the knott. He explained it to me but I am knott-challenged so didn't remember.
Geez, Just Jeff, I can not spell "knot." I cannot. Knott? Ah, well.
Regret that I didn't take some close-ups of the Tyvek tent. It is stitched and seam-sealed and has held up in hard weather.

I peeked inside and the only thing I could think of was that it might be a tad warmish, given the lack of venting. Otherwise it was well done.

Haha - I just figured his last name was Knott or something.
What did he use to seamseal it?

Local, you could have the people entering homemade gear write a brief description of their submissions and how they are made for next year's competition. The descriptions along with the pictures would be a great addition to your web site.

The tent looks like a tyvek version of the Hasty Hooch. Did Tinny get the credit?
