I found some tarps for sale on Ebay. I wanted to get a bigger tarp to use with my hammock and these tarps are cheaper than any others I have seen. The seller is the Sportman's Guide. You can see one of them here. (http://cgi.ebay.com/XE6E1-79978-New-Guide-Gear-12x12-Tarp-White_W0QQitemZ8817785133QQcategoryZ36120QQrdZ1QQc mdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting)
Has anybody ever tried these tarps and maybe give me some feedback on quality.

These are pretty good tarps for the money. I have the 9 x 9 version that I paid about $15 for and a hiking buddy has the 12 x 12 shown in the listing. A minor point for me was that there is no tie-out on the center ridgeline if you pitch it on the square. I'm going to have to sew a couple of tie-outs on mine for this purpose. Being a hammock user, you have the option of pitching it by the corners making this a non-issue.

never seen or used this tarp before.. Looks like the price is right.. I would be interested in how much it weighed.. Might be a little overkill for backpacking, but for commfy hammock nights close to home, or on a car camping trip, 25$ for a nylon tarp with 17 tieouts might be worth the investment...

It's just a Sportsmans Guide tarp; it's the same price on E-Bay as it is through their catalog.

Good to know.
The website still does not list how much it weighs. I also noticed a camo version (http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=97247) of the tarp with 12 tie-outs. 1lb 15oz for a 12x12. Still not a bad price for 35.00 and I would much rather have camo than white.
