From CourtTV website:

"In the series premiere, watch as our team of experts revisit a crime scene deep in the woods on the Appalachian Trail. Can two psychics and a paranormal investigator uncover new clues in the unsolved murders of hikers Julianne Williams and Laura “Lollie” Winans?"

There are some nice threads on that Ghosthounds board by "ghostgeek" who is one of the personalities in the show. The threads give some details about the filming of the Shenandoah episode, which was hampered by an October snowstorm there last year.

The show definitely sounds unscripted and open-ended.

OK, I'll bite on this one.

A few weeks ago someone said something about Mollies Ridge Shelter being haunted. Has anyone heard this before? I had never heard this and I have been in that area for the last 8 years and no one ever said anything.

If any of you know the story, if there is one, can you please answer this post?

Thanks

I think it's disgusting that these frauds are turning the deaths of Williams and Winans into "entertainment."

I have read somewhere (I think it was here on WB) that Mollie's Ridge is haunted by a young Cherokee Indian maiden who froze to death up there looking for a lost hunter...of course Indians are supposed to never get lost...I actually found this post while searching for that read....I'm planning a hike through the Smokies toward the last of March 2011 and will probably change my plans in order to spend a night at Mollie's Ridge..hopefully I will see this alleged "booger"...If so ..I hope she doesn't scare my shi*less!! lol...I have the theory that boogers are dead and therefore can't hurt you..but you know your reaction until you actually see one...

I just found the post where I read that about Mollie's Ridge;;Here it is.It was posted by 10-K om 12 09 2010 :

"Here's one out of the Companion:

Mollies Ridge Shelter (1961/2003)—Sleeps 12. No privy. Food-hoist cables available.
Legend says the area was named for a Cherokee maiden who froze to death looking for
a lost hunter and that her ghost still haunts the ridge. Water source is a somewhat
reliable spring 200 yards to the right of the shelter."

Happy "booger" hunting...
