I'm planning a 4 day hike from Delaware Water Gap, and head through as much of PA as I can in that short time. Heading out around noon on June 26th, so if any hammock hikers would care to join me, I welcome the company.

Haha, give it a chance Buckingham. Of course you eliminated many w/ your hammock request. Maybe Neo can join you? Haven't seen ya on WB in awhile. Glad to see you're still-- out there.;) :)

Thanks man, it's good to be back. After last years disaster, it was difficult to think about hiking for awhile. But I'm back up on the horse, and rarin' to go. At this point, anybody, tent or otherwise, is welcome.

I would love to join you but I will not have time to get out again till the fall. Maybe next time.

That's okay, if all goes well I'll be taking another hike in the fall. I'll keep you posted.

Where are you planning to stop & camp for the night?

Where are you planning to stop & camp for the night?
Here's my tentative schedule, but anything can change, nothing is set in stone:

Kirkridge Shelter Monday night
Leroy A. Smith Shelter Tuesday night(16 miles, don't know if I can make that, but I'll try)
George W. Outerbridge Shelter Wed night
Bake Oven Knob Shelter Thursday night

The best spot to hammock at Leroy Smith shelter is on the left side of the blue blaze trail, about 100' after the powerline clearing.
The privy is 150' on the right side.
The shelter is another 200' on the rightside of the trail.

Unfortunately the spring is WAY down the blue trail.
I can't camp that night due to work early in the morning, but I'll see if I can stop by.

Warning: there's no water between Kirkridge & Leroy Smith.

Yeah, but you go through Wind Gap and can find water there if need be.

I would love to go w/ you on the hike and test out the new hammock, but I am working the nights of the 27th and 28th. Hope the hike goes well.
