I was thinking I needed a shuttle from Helen but Hiawassee Ga looks closer on the map---anyone know of a shuttler in Hiawassee? My oldest daughter is meeting me for my last section in Ga!

Never mind the help but thanks anyway, went to the Walasi-Y center on the web and found their shuttle list and then booked with Wes Wilson so we have a shuttle! My oldest daughter is both excited and a little scared about this section! I dont blame her either!

I've heard it's easy to get a hitch here, but it took a group of us a little while to get a ride last year, people may have been intimidated by the number of hikers untill a pickup loaded us in the back. It's equally hard to get a hitch(in general) alone, as motorists get suspicious of loners.
