View Full Version : Teatree is looking for a lift to the trail
Hi,
Good to be here and see so many familiar names! I am looking for a lift from Portland Maine, to either Baxter State Park or to Gorham NH or pretty much anywhere on trail anytime during the week of July 24th. Obviously my plans are well, not planned. I just wanna get on the AT somewhere up North and head in A direction. Can you help me?

Welcome, Teatree! I'll be traveling from southern Maine up to Caratunk, Monson, and Baxter several times between now and August to hike and work on the Companion. When your plans get well, let's see if I'm going where you're going when you're going where I'm going. :D
Hey Teej! Sounds great! I will be arriving on the 24th of July into PWM and hope to get on the trail on the 27th or so. I'd prefer to get on up at Baxter...but...beggars can't be choosers. I think once I'm actually on trail I can catch lifts to just about anywhere to piece together most of the New England states. What are your thoughts?? Been great ...and we're doin a section SOBO too, but earlier than you. We're hiking Rangeley to Pinkham Notch starting this coming Sunday (7/2).

I've got family reunions in early JUly and land trust conflicts from early through 17 August, But if you run into problems let me know. I have me, family and friends who may be able to help --and enjoy doing so,.

I'll know more in a few weeks, but I think we can make it work. Baxter's no problem - I never need much of an excuse to go to Park! Will you be hanging out in Portland for those few days? I like leaving wicked early, so be warned!

It's true! I'm famous...Did you check out Still Walking yet? Squatch is out hiking on the PCT now filming even more! One of these days he'll get it down...the hiking that is. Lemme know if you need an autograph or anything...HAHA
