Directions needed - Springer to Hog Pen Gap

Hello all! I need driving directions from Springer (USFS 42) parking lot to Hog Pen Gap - GA 348. My atlas does not have any of the roads up there listed (I know - I need to get a better atlas) but in the mean time - anyone know the way? (besides by trail - the maintainers would frown on me driving through the woods...) Thanks!

Trun left out of Springer parking lot and stay on FS42 until you run into HWY 60. Turn left on Hwy 60 then right on HWY 180 at the store. Stay on HWY 180 until you run into US 19/129 go left 2 or 3 miles this is also still HWY 180 and HWY 180 turns right. HWY 348 is just a few miles on the right which will take you to Hog Pen Gap.

Fs 42 to St. Rt. 60(toward Suches). T/L on 60. T/R on 180. T/L on 129. T/R on 180. T/R on 348. Drive to the top(Hogpen). That's the short version. Let me know if you need the long version. :)

Ridge's directions will get you ther I guess but it's a long ways out of the way. The ride on FS42 is kind of long but you actually don't have to turn , you just stay straight on it till you get to HWY 60. You'll go thru Hightower Gap, Cooper Gap and Gooch Gap and just after Gooch Gap you'll hit pavement.
