Thoughts, opinions, advice, stream and river crossings during rainy season, water sources, etc. Any advice is mucho appreciated. I want to do this trail, but I cant find any decent info.

Ok, I'll be hiking this overnight trail. I wished for some input, but ah, what the hell. Ranger station said the numerous stream crossing are low, good. But, that the water sources off the streams are gone, bad. So, I'll be carrying 6L at a time. Beth is coming on this one, a rarity for me. Of course, I'll be carrying most of thr gear. What the f*** happened to women's lib and the ERA and all that crap?

Nice hike, 6/10. Water sources were no existent. It took 4L/6L of our water to get to the halfway point in 97F weather. Thank God it rained ( and hard ). Made hiking the second half easier.

Not much to see, topo changed 3 times. First, shady palm/pine forest. That changed to virgin pine/post fire reclaim forest, then to sand scrub. Three campsites, clean and open. Packed out a ziploc, almost no trash! Woohoo.

The FNST has been reblazed in white through Tosohatchee state park. Confusing as hell, since they missed 1/4 of the blazes!

Pics are in my gallery.

Aww....
She's a smart lady....you go Beth !

BTW, the term women's lib is extremely politically incorrect now :D If you say feminist or activist you'll get the lesbian issue thrown at you, so I won't go there. Ah hell, let's go there.

Amigi, private message eArThworm, she probably knows more about this trail.

Thanks angel.
Wasnt trying to offend anyone:o . What is the term for today, anyway?

Southern women are just ... different. Beth basically strolled while I sweated, but I needed the work. I just wanted her along.
I hiked it this weekend. Pics are in my gallery. We had a good time, all things considered. Map was wrong, no water sources, rained very hard ( what else is new here ), and the whole trail system is misblazed.

Photo area, Other long trails, Other trails. Mine are up first as of now. I put a pic of a 4" spider in the wildlife section/other ( see link below ). I love arachnids, so if they dont spook you, check that one. I almost ate that SOB. Banana spiders and this big ass thing make there webs right aross trails in FL all the time. One of the serious dangers we have to be leery of down here. This thing wont kill you, but you wouldnt wanna be hiking and get bit. It's painful as hell. Been there, done that, and dont want to again.
