Hi Everyone,
I haven't been posting much here since the spring, as I've been busy climbing in Washington and, most recently, hiking the Sierra High Route in California. Think of it as an off-trail version of the John Muir Trail, though even more scenic. Yes, I know that is saying a lot, but the pictures should speak for themselves. I didn't complete the entire route due to time restrictions and an overestimation of our ability to routefind quickly. I'm normally a 25-30 mile a day hiker, but route finding and scrambling meant that a 12 mile day took about 12 hours. I may, or may not, go back next summer for some more fun, though I doubt I'll follow the SHR exactly: There is just too much good stuff in the Sierra Nevada to conform to a pre-set route.
