In that one does not, as a rule, camp above treeline in the Whites, and in that once you're at or below treeline, there are untold millions of trees in the area to choose from, then it seems to me that hammocking in the area isn't exactly difficult.
Neo speaks of the Whites hammock challenge.
Maybe I'm missing something, but where, exactly is the challenge?

More than you might think, Neo.
In fact, I was gonna invite you to drop by Hanover on your way up to the Whites or after.....but I'm afraid I'll be away hiking.
But there are plenty of places in town for you to hang a hammock! :D

i went from thru hanover last year,i tried to look you up when i spent the night at dwight's house,when i get to kinsmans notch i will catch a bus from lincoln to manchester vermont,then hiking from manchester to dalton mass,i will have everything from springer mt to gorham done,next sept 2007
i will hike from gorham to the big K:cool: NEO
