Just got my Byer Mosquito Hammock. What a sweet hammock for only $19.95 at ccoutdoorstore.com. I have a Hennessy hammock and I swear this thing is just as comfortable. Since it does not come with suspension lines, I bought 2 12 foot long, 1 inch poly web straps from www.speerhammocks.com as Peter Pan suggested. I might get the Microrope from Byer and see if this works better. Go to www.vtarmynavy.com. $15.95
I'm also trying to rig a ridgeline as suggested by this thread:http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?p=203624&highlight=Ridge+line#post203624
This is a super deal on a neat little hammock. Perfect for that second hammock you might need for a friend. I must go now and take a nap in my hammock which is rigged up in my gym.

Excellent hammock I really like them.....cheap, light, huge.
Be careful with the mesh...at $20.00 and weighing in at around 15 ounces these hammocks aren't made to stand much abuse...the mesh loops that hold the ridgeline need TLC as does the zipper..
I found that you have to use care when packing them. The strands of cord will become uneven and it is a major pain to get them even again. If not even the hammock will lean to one side or the other.
I pretty much destroyed my first one but the great news is that if you kill your Byer you can easily cannibilize it for parts and make a nifty underquilt out of the nylon....by removing the mesh and zipper you have the perfect start of an underquilt.

I've found that a permanent ridgeline illiminates that issues that arise with all of the cord on either end. I too am very satisfied with my cheap hammock.

Didn't think of that...good idea...
Does the attached ridgeline keep the cord from getting "out of whack" and causing the hammock to pitch at an angle ?

It has worked that way for me so far, and I have several nights in it.
