Finishing up Georgia section with my son who is graduating from Leon High in Tallahasse, Florida. His first trip.
Gear includes the amazing Kelty 50th annaversary pack, Blue Kazoo sleeping bag I bought back in the early 80's (never been able to sleep inside it cause it is too warm), mountain pass 1xt tent, peak 1 stove and pots and pans (weighs about a 1 lb, love fact that there are no bottles to hike in or out, reliable, sturdy, and can burn about 2 hours on full flame)
dry food, 2 liter platapus hydration "bottle", total pack weight 35 lbs.
Son has REI Dome 2 tent, peak 1 stove pot and pans, Kelty Tioga (small but he is not all that big either) Cat''s meow sleeping bag, dry food, camel back, total pack weight 38 obs.
