I think that'd be pretty cool. Is everyone headed down for the weekend, Cheesewiz, or just New Years eve? bulldog 12-03-2006, 01:01 Thinking about a winter hike on the Mid-State Trail near State College or the Loyalsock Trail during winter break. Not sure about New Years. Dan robert granrath 12-03-2006, 20:39 So Tell Me when you plan to go perhaps we can team up for a week Kevin A. Boyce 12-04-2006, 11:01 I know some folks were talking about getting together to do some sort of New Year's hike in the Catskills if you are interested... The plan would be to set up a base camp area where we can all meet, camp, and have a campfire. And it will be centrally located to a bunch of peaks so people have plenty of options. Personally I would love to try to get the AMC cabin at Bear Mtn in CT as it would be a great place... But that is not close to the the Cats... If anyone is interested let me know and I will keep you updated.... Catch you on the Trail... Kevin bulldog 12-08-2006, 04:16 I didn't plan on spending a week hiking because I don't think I have that kind of time. The Loyalsock Trail is only 59-60 miles and I was thinking about doing all of that or most of that in 3-4 days. |
