Attention to those hiking in PA around the area of Duncannon. The weather on Friday evening caused extreme damage to Halifax( they believe a tornado touched down), the town just north of Peter's Mountain. Winds were extemely high and rain horizontal. So, I figure there may be blowdowns. Watch your step. Let the local clubs that maintain know of any extreme blowdowns.

Thank you very much for your advisory TAM and for all you do to assist hikers.

A.T. hikers reading this thread can go to ATC's Trail Clubs page (http://www.appalachiantrail.org/site/c.jkLXJ8MQKtH/b.786807/k.3154/Trail_Clubs.htm) to find out which club has maintenance responsiblilty for a particular location. I am sure they would be happy to hear from you about any blowdowns. Your assistance may help them to get any blowdowns cleared sooner resulting in a better hiking experience for everyone.

You can click on the name of the trail club you wish to contact to visit their website once you reach ATC's page.;)

It would probably be a good idea to post any issues here too and indicate whether or not the appropriate club has been notified.
