I was just pontificating over the joys of a Whisperlite in another thread, and said if I needed one stove for all season's it would be the Whisperlite. For your comparison, I would probably pick the Giga rather than the F400. The F400 is a nice stove but it is bulky - I'd rather have the separate fuel bottle.

Something to think about - If you are doing extreme winter camping, I don't know how efficient the Giga will be...

The view is almost eclipsed by the beautiful cookset.

Go with the snowpeak. Any cannister will fit it.

Hi Saimyoji,
I was at George Outerbridge shelter today and tene drove over and hiked into Bake Oven Knob, it looks like the NW view off BOK, but there was no tower on my view. Is this Tri-croner point or elephant rocks per chance??
Cheers

South west view from just south of bear rocks, south of BOK, about a mile north of 309. :)

I'd go with the snowpeak. Pefect flame control, lighter weight and you can find the cartridges all along the trail. Many people were finding them in hiker boxes that were still half to 3/4 full, enough for a week when done correctly.
