Sucks!! Any tales of infirmity to share?
One time in Bali I drank a glass of water...ended my vacation. For two weeks all I could eat was unsweetened tea and plain toast. Every ounce of food passed right through me like a...well...dysentery...you know. :mad:

Came to work today. Big mistake. :(
At work...drinking hot tea and my desk looks like a pharmacy. I'm with ya saimyoji. Best to get it over now though...we'll feel better while others are probably going to be sick during Christmas/family time.

I got my flu shot early last month. I wasn't going to take any chances with my upcoming thru. I got the flu real bad two years ago. Never again.
Also, I find the spray Zicam stuff works very well with colds - maybe it would with the flu too. Real flu is aches, pains, a fever, and a dry cough and it took me 2 weeks to recover.

Yeah, made sure my family got the shots. The sacrifices we make sometimes....:datz
I can't tell if the shots work. I seem to get sick every year with or without them.

The original post doesn't sound like influenza, but may represent the "stomach flu" that gastroenteritis is commonly to. Real influenza can be a killer, especially in the very old and very young. Neither condition are helped by hanging around work and other non-infected people.
