View Full Version : Kmart Grease Screen pot
I found the grease pot at kmart today it was 6.95 it nice and lite it is a 1 .1/4 liter. Should be big enough to cook what i need just wonder what size pots everone use on the trail i read thas some use a two liter size. The only thing is it don't look to study but it come with a lit and a screen :-?
I use the K Mart grease pot and I love it. It is more than big enough if you are only cooking for yourself. It is plenty sturdy also. I have the K Mart one because you can never find the Wally World one where I live. From what I've heard the top of the K Mart one is better because the lip rolls to the outside, making it easier to clean the inside or grab it with a pot handle.

Unless you are using as a grease pot, you really don't want to keep the screen.

I have a Grease pot I got form wally world, same size as the kmart one, 5 cups. I've filled it to the brim on occasion, but wouldn't need anything bigger for one. I've had it for 6 years and 3000+ miles, it's kinda beat up, but not worrying about durability. Built like a very thin aluminium tank, that dents easy. I did take off the plastic handle with the steel screw in it and replace with a piece of p-cord through the hole.

I love my Kmart grease pot. Cheap enough for me, and if it does get beat up too bad it doesn't hurt the wallet to get another one.
