I want to make a replacement for my cozy.I have a peice of silver bubble wrapping that looks to be the same material (I think it was used as insulated packing material). Now where could I purchase some tape to construct the cozy.:-?

I'd use this foil tape that's heat resistant: http://www.reflectixinc.com/script/products/product.asp?ID=42

If you're taping on the outside of the cozy, there should be no problem with heat. I've used Duck tape, and Gorilla tape with no problems. Hell, the duck tape on my dryer vents takes more heat and has lasted for years....:-?

I made ours out of a cheap ($5) foam pad from Walmart and used duct tape to hold it together......Someone has directions w/ pictures posted on WB....
They worked great....very sturdy, and doubled as storage containers for cameras and such, in the pack

I made mine out of the silver material used for windshield screens. Duct tape works great.

I just use my fleece hat. It works well enough and I don't have to bring along another one use item. It also makes my hat a dual use item. If you live in bear country that's probably not a great a idea though.
I believe that Jasonklass uses Reflectix and aluminum tape. You can check out his site here (http://www.freewebs.com/jasonklass/), its a great resource.

The silver foil bubble wrap is probably Reflectix - Works great. I have made many using either duct tape or plain cheap $2 foil tape (found in automotive supply area of WalMart). Foil Tape gives a much better appearance.

You can get both at Lowe's home improvement stores. I bought a whole roll of the reflective bubble wrap and a roll of silver duct tape there.
