Does anyone have a link to a good sock pattern?
I am going to make some sil vaper barrier socks. I am having problems coming up with something that will account for using sil versus cotton or wool. The sil will not stretch when you put it on.
I know I could buy them, but what is the fun in that.
Thanks.
When I made a pair of sil vapor barrier socks I had to make the height, from the heel up the leg, a wee bit longer than this pattern shows.
These socks are sooo slippery and if they're longer than the height of the boot top you'll find that the boot should help to keep them in place and from slipping.
Sil socks just can't be snug like fleece or you won't be able to get them on.
Anyhow, here is a url for a two piece fleece sock pattern, modify it for the sil.

A friend of mine knits her own socks, angora, alpaca - some are supposed to be warmer than wool. Anybody every try knitted socks?

Thanks for the links and input.
I am going to go off of the pics and patterns and the Golite VB socks and wing it and see what happens. I am also going to only make them a couple inchs past my ankles. That should make them easier to put on.
