First, let me introduce the bag...

THis is a 26 oz bag intended for summer nights. It is kind of a no-name brand, so it is extremly cheap. For $25, you get the bag and a cheap stuffsack. This bag has VERY little loft. Im not talking about a little less than your average 20 degree bag. No. This bag seriously has almost no loft.
It is rated at 50 degrees, and even that may be a little low. I would rate it at 55, but I am somewhat of a cold sleeper. Construction is very solid, with an interesting ripstop fabric on the outside of the bag, and a 1.9oz ripstop on the interior.
I am 5'8", and the bag is a perfect size for me. I have broad shoulders, but the bag is adequate in that region. There is about 3"-4" of extra space in the bag (in the end). Anyone over 5'11" would feel cramped in this bag. THere is a small interior pocket which measures about 4"x6".
Experience:
I sleep in a Hennessy Hammock Expedition, and in the summer months i use no pad. Last night the temperature dipped to around 52, and i was wearing just boxers, socks, and lightweight long underwear on my legs.
I slept comfertably all night. There was a light breeze, which chilled my shoulders and rear end slightly, but it was mostly blocked by my homemade Hex HH Fly. The chill was somewhat expected, and did not bother my sleeping much at all.
I have slept in this bag several nights, and have been comfertable most of the time. The bag does its function well, and I would never even think of using it outside of the summer months. It might work o.k. as a liner, but it seems a bit small, and may confine the user if used with another bag.
It works great as a quilt! There is about a 6" footbox at the end, which helps keep my feet from getting cold, a common experience in the Hennessy Hammock. Becuase i dont carry a pad, i wouldnt use it as a quilt unless there is no wind and it is above 80 degrees.
I would denfinatly reccomend this bag to everyone looking for a CHEAP, well made summer bag for those 4 night trips in the middle of july or august. I have used my Seirra Designs WIld Bill 20 degree bag in the past summers, and I could never sleep inside of it becuase it was always too hot! So this bag has so far met my expectations.
Further testing
I will be testing this bag on the 15th-18th on a hike in the Carter Range in N.H. I will then be in the Saddlebacks and Bigelows for a 10 day hike from july 22nd-31st. Then a biking trip from august 2nd to the 12th. THis will be my bag of choice for the summer months, and i will report back when my trips have concluded.
