I guess I need to go back and reread the directions on how to do this - it took well over two days of drying. I ended up with 1 7/8 oz of dried salsa, including the pint freezer bag it's in.
I dried it on a plastic sheet that came with the dehydrator. It came off the sheet in large flat pieces, once it was dry, and I ground it up with the blender.
It's one way to take along a few things that aren't so readily available.
