for a 20* bag that will live up to its rating. consider the Western Mountaineering Ultralight Super. The lightest fabric (heck its even called extremelite) in a narrow cut mummy bag by one of the top bag makers around. it is still 2 oz. over your mark at 1lb 10oz and and $385 new.

You will be hard pressed to find a 20* bag under a pound and a half. As mentioned above, the Ultralite is 2 oz. over your specs and is about as light as you'll get unless you go to a quilt made by Nunatak. Typically, lightweight 20* bags are closer to the 2lb. mark.

Give quilts a good look. I use one in a hammock. They are a little harder to use on the ground. But they could be an option with a little practice and a good pad.

I do not know your budget, but if you are looking for a good bag that is not too much money, check out the Campmor 20F down bag.

$110, 2# 4oz. It is not the lightest bag, but considering a $300+ bag is a hair under or at 2lbs, it is pretty good.

I know several thru-hikers who've used this bag (including a recent triple crowner) and have been pleased with it. Are there better made bags that are lighter? Yes.

But for the price to performance ratio, it s a very good bag.
