After reading a few sleeping bag threads I've notice that a a lot of people on here speak highly of campmor bags considering there price. I will throw this thread out there to get a larger survey of people's feelings on this bag. Seeing that what I've read so far were good things, those of you who didn't like this bag feel free to chime in and give your reasons to your disappointment in the product.

My wife & I recently bought 2 Campmor 0 degree down bags. ($139 and 3 1/2 lbs each) She sleeps real cold. Got 1 right zipper and 1 left zipper. They are mateable and we recently took a trip with a low of 14 degrees and wind at 20-25 mph. She slept good but I had to take off most of my clothes as I woke up sweating.

Probably more than I need but hey, if Mama's happy she keeps going with me.

I recommend them. Stuff down good and have storage bag included.

I've got a campmor 20F long, and have yet to be cold enough to zip it up. The coldest I've been out was 27F.

It would have been nice it you got the 20* and she got the 0*

Sly,

Didn't consider that. But we love winter camping/hiking and you never know when the temps will get way down. Anyway, sleeping naked is not so bad til morning.

If you decide to go for it, I have a Long version of the Campmor 20* bag in the Gear for Sale forum (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?t=21689). I'm charging $85 shipped to the lower 48.

Are there any good bags that are not down in Campmor. Zero degrees and that are not too bulky and heavey?

A synthetic 0* bag is going to be very large and very heavy, nothing you can do about it. About 1# difference.

Scroll down for the synthetic bags.

At the last minute before my Long Trail thru-hike (http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?trailname=6248) last year, I bought a Campmor down 3-season bag rated to 45 for $99. All-in-all, I'm quite satisfied. I liked the compact size which will help when I do some bicycle camping this year.

There were about 2 nights when the temps dipped low enough to make me cold. When the rating says 45, they don't mean one degree lower! For the last 2 days of the hike, I bought a liner which added 15 degrees.

I got a 0* down bag and really like it for the price and weight it was a good buy. Heck in the dead of winter I am already heavy in the pack anyway so what's one more pound.

Bought a 20* Campmore down bag and just love it. Not fancy, just warm 'n light. The only problem I've had is minor. Several times while zipping up, I've gotten the lining caught in the zipper. Other than that, no problems.

We have one 20 degree and one 0 degree, mateable, a year old. For the price they are light enough, stuff easily, have given us no problems. (Someday we will replace them with Marmot Heliums for our thru) We live in Florida so we feel cold at 60 degrees. Coldest we've used these has been about 40. Very comfortable.

I bought this bag for lightness in the pack, rated at +30 deg., 2.4 in weight, synthetic for ease of cleaning/drying. I back and forthed between down/synthetic until I settled on this one. I don't plan on being out in really cold weather.
Depends on how you'll use it and how cold you'll be camping. :D

I thought about getting the 0 degree bag for cold weather camping. Its between that and a montbell 0 degree. The big differences is weight and price.

my 20 degree bag was from campmor.
question- not about my bag, but how do you know if a bag is insulated all the way around. not a thin bottom for mat insert. how do they NOTE this?

Campmor has one of the largest selections around in sleeping bags.
