Hey all. i don't know if this is the right forum or not, but it seemed like a good one. I was trying to plan a hike for me and my 2 brothers and maybe a friend on a section of virginia's AP trail. I am a horrible searcher, and I can't seem to find anything on the internet about it. Does someone have any suggestions about a nice week long hike, around maybe 120 miles-ish? I was thinking of starting or ending around damascus, since it's right around where I live at now. If anyone has any opinions, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks,

Did you mean AT?

If so, Shenandoah NP is another good section to do, though a drive for you.

I should have said Pearisburg to Daleville. :)

YAH, i was considering that part of the trail, the Shenandoah part. I was thinking maybe go to the tip top of it, then just hike down for the week.

Another thing might be that just get on at damascus and just hike north for the week until we get to a spot and just catch a ride back.

I have problems finding any info on the entrances and exits of the trail. I know where the trail runs to and from, but I just can't seem to find a place that tells me where to get on, and where to get off.

thanks,

get a AT Data Book (try http://www.mtrogersoutfitters.com/contact.html ) and a Va state map or a VA gazeteer maybe better because it has more detail and the VA gazeteer I have has the AT marked on it...

Go see the what the AT data book has in it and I think u will be happy with the data available to ya...

Good luck on the hike....
