Just started testing this container for use as a burner. It's made of anodized aluminum, like that stuff!!!!

It's a wickatised cat food container. I cut a hole in the bottom to remove the food. Have burned only 1/2 ounce denatured alcohol in it.

I'm interested to see how long the top seal will hold out, anyone done any test on this container?

Here are the photos

Eighth (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v228/obijiwa/sheba010.jpg)

I'll keep you updated as I go along. Trying to get you interested in wickitising.

I like the looks of this container and with the stainless steel potstand oooohhh, I like it!!!!!!

I've never seen a container like that. Where'd you get it? What's the diameter of the widest part?

Got it at Kmart and it's 3 inches at the widest part.

It weighs 11 grams with the wick. I guess you would ask:)

Jason, what you been up to? Post some photos of your wickitised stoves and things. I heard you been doing some nice stuff.

Show us how your "Sheba" turns out.

Hey Zelph,
What have I been up to? Well, not as much as YOU have! You just keep the designs coming! Unfortunately, other things in my life have kept me from doing the really important things like playing with stoves but I've got some ideas in the works. If I have time, I'll play with that Sheba can this weekend and post about it. Keep the good ideas coming Zelph!

What are the bananas about?

I use a :banana frolicing banana icon as my Post Icon. I use it so it would be easy to find the threads that I start. When I get a new idea, I post it quickly so everyone can start working on their own stove if they like my design. As I progress with testing, I have to find the thread and then I'll post the current results.

I know alot of folks get irritated when someone uses them in excess, but what the heck, If I took life seriously, I would'nt be posting here.

To all those that don't like the bananas:p

JasonKlass--- Have you done any testing of the "StarLyte"?

With as much input as you provide, I think you deserve your own "flaming stove" icon for a thread starter. AT Troll?

That's a great idea. And us banana haters could get some peace, but still be able to pick Zelph's posts out of the line-up.

Zelph,

I like being able to recognize your threads, and my 2yr-old daughter LOVES seeing the banana on my screen: when she sees it she lets out an excited, loud "Dada - LOOK!:D "

Hey Zelph,
I tried it out but didn't time it yet. I'll get back to you on that. I LOVE the design though. Really clever!

P.S. I HATE the banana--it's obnoxious! I hope you find a way to get the flaming stove as your avatar instead. The only question is...you've invented sooooo many, which one would it be? :-?

Things are looking better for the Sheba can.

It fits on top of the Heineken pot. Use it as a lid, a sautee pan and an egg poacher.

I have'nt tryed the poaching yet, need to buy another can, I used my burner for photos.

I think I'll try sauteing some shrooms.(insertbananahere)

No plastic coating

It poaches eggs and works better if you use olive oil otherwise it sticks a little to the poacher.:)

They're on sale today at Kmart, 2 for a buck.
