More or less. The last few I crumbled roughly equaled a teaspoon.

I don't know. But one cube will flavor one cup of liquid, which is the rule I go by.

thanks, that makes sense..
i was on the freezerbag cooking website, and there was a recipe for a mix to use, and it called for 1/4 cup of bouillion powder, but i only have cubes, so i was trying to figure it out.
thanks..

Hey Becky, I don't know if you noticed, but on all the main pages I have a low sodium boullion powder recipe. It is very good! As for bullion, when using commercial, I go for the low/no sodium stuff by Herb Ox. Taste, no sodium ;)
But yes: 1 cube is 1 teaspoon or 1 tablespoon of the homemade stuff!

Aren't they packed full of mSG?
The only time several of my friends that hike get headaches are after they hike a hard day, then eat a meal high in mSG like OOdles of Noodles.

Herb Ox is the only boullion I have ever found that is MSG free.

You can also get a low sodium boullion on Amazon from frontier co-op that is MSG free, but it comes in 1 lb bags. The Herb Ox works well and is easy to find :)
