Anyone know how you get from Washington DC to Front Royal or who provides the service?

You can take the train (Amtrack or MARC) from Union Station directly to Harpers Ferry. From there you can either hook up with a shuttle driver (see http://www.appalachiantrail.org/hike/plan/cars.html) or call for a Front Royal taxi (find phone numbers at www.superpages.com).

We live 6 miles South of Harpers Ferry in Charles Town, WV and my wife drives to Front Royal every weekday morning. I ride the train every weekday from Washington to the station just before Harper's Ferry (better selection of trains) and will be retiring 11/27/03.
