Yeah, that's probably the end of the discussion.

Lots of good cottage industry shelters out there, but Henry gave one of his designs away. Pretty awesome.

The tent mentioned above is great. I also like these modifications on Shires design - Jones (http://www.backpacking.net/makegear/jones-tent/index.html) and Jones II (http://www.backpacking.net/makegear/jones-tent2/jonestent2.pdf)tarptents.

do not know because I have never used any of the ones already mentioned, but I like my ray-way. Easy to sew, not expensive, and it has kept me dry.

Headchange4u did a pretty good homemade Hennessy with removable bug net that changes for a ripstop nylon top cover for cold weather - that's a pretty impressive project.
