I'm planning to do some tarping and need a bivy cover for my sleeping bag. I'm interested in an Equinox UL bivy cover in new or like-new condition. I'd also be interested in an A16 bug bivy, if you've got one of those you also want to get rid of. Let me know.:)

Unfortunately I like my Equinox bivy to sell it ...but I think you'll be happy if you can get your hands on one.
Day late/dollar short on the A16 though. Bought one from Backcountrygear.com and sent it back for a refund. Nice and light but just not a "package" I could ever see myself actually carrying in/on a backpack. Collapses down to a ring that is about 16" in diameter and has to be somehow fastened to your pack. I opted for the OR Bug Bivy instead. Full length coverage and waterproof bottom so I don't need any type of ground cloth.

Footslogger - thanks for the insight on the A16. I was also concerned about the size re: where to put it in the pack. I'll have to reconsider and look at the OR.:-?

======================================
The OR Bug Bivy is about twice the weight of the A16 (approx 11 - 12 oz) but it rolls up to about the size of one of those small umbrellas (estimate - 2.5/3" X 12") and is easily stuffed into a side pouch on the outside of your pack or inside the pack. Has a single (removable) lightweight flexible pole that props up the upper (head) area of the netting. Use mine often to sleep out under the stars and then if the weather comes in I just pitch a tarp over it.

Thanks, Footslogger, for the additional info. I think the final decision on the bug net will be whether I want something free-standing like the OR or something that can be tied up like the Equinox, Golite cave, etc. First things first, I've got to get the EQ bivy. ;)

FishBone,
If you are interested I have the Titanium Goat Bivy that I got for my upcoming thru hike... Decided to go a different direction on shelter and will not be taking the bivy. It is the premium version with the following stats: Reflect-tex bottom & Epic Top and includes the optional no-see-um hood. It is size Large and weighs under 10 ounces (the Epic is supposed to be very waterproof and very breathable, but I have never used this bivy, so I can't say anything first hand). Got it several months ago and I think the original cost was around $120 shipped. I was thinking that I would like to get $80 for it. You can check it out at the following web page: http://www.titaniumgoat.com/Bivy.html (http://www.titaniumgoat.com/Bivy.html) doodah-man

Thanks doodah man, but I'm looking for something with a side zip. The TiGoat bivy looks like a great piece of equipment, though.
