It is too far to walk but there is a trail fest coming up this weekend in Hot Springs.. you might ask for a ride on this forum or just hitch....

It's a long shot but you could try calling the outdoor gear shops and find out if anybody is going to Hot Springs, maybe they could leave a note on their bulletin board:

Black Dome Mountain Sports
140 Tunnel Rd, Asheville
(828) 251-2001
Second Gear
11 Arden Rd, Asheville
(828) 258-0757
Mast General Store (they have a bulletin board in the outdoor section)
15 Biltmore Ave, Asheville
(828) 232-1883

I'll check around Asheville to see if any local hikers might be able to help.

Here is the link to Bluff Mountain Outfitters in Hot Springs. I don't know whether they can respond on this relatively short notice. Worth a call, though, if you haven't made other arrangements.

as mr. spirits has mentioned, you got some fairies in a-ville. the bus station is five minutes from my house...you should be back on the trail before the sun is high in the sky.

either play the PM game or call me on the number that spiritwind got to you.
