I am planning to hike the Natchez Trace beginning in late May. Just wondering if anyone has done it recently? Any and all info and advice are welcome. Thank you!

I can see biking the Trace but not hiking it. Road walks are not for me

That is one I've been considering; it looks do- able and many points of interest along the way. I've seen on the web that there are some off- road trail sections, following the old trace. I also dream of back- tracking my family across Mississippi on the Three- Chopped Way and follow the Federal Road Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina.

Sheltowee's 2001 Walk About America-on Trail Journals, starting with the entry at the TN beginning of the trace:

You can also get a book on his trek:

My colleague has walked the entire parkway twice. You can call him at 301-565-6704 ext 202. His name is Ed. Tell him Jeffrey Hunter referred you his
way.
