Before I shell out almost $200 new for one, I was wondering if anyone has an older one they want to get rid of? I'm not handy at sewing, and, working full time & going to school, I honestly dont have time for it. So, if anyone is willing to part with one, let me know. Also, I am in the US, so please take that into account. I will be willing to trade...let me know what you're looking for, & I'll let you know what I have/can scrounge. Thanks!

You can make a quick home made job from a poncho liner.

Rock,

Do you just use the strings on the corners and tie the poncho liner on the bottom of the hammock? I am still pretty new to the hanging crowd...

What I do:

1. On the long ends I run a piece of gut for 550 cord down the inside of the hem and put a cord lock on each end of the string.

2. You have to make yourself some suspension lines like the JRB cords: http://www.jacksrbetter.com/index_files/Suspension%20System.htm

3. On the sides you have to add some tie outs to tie to the side pulls of the hammock. I wait until I have put the quilt under the hammock for the first time to figure this out.

4. (Optional) put a head hole in the poncho liner. Guess why they call it the No-Sniveler?

5. Fold the Poncho liner in half (half being half way down these long ends) and then draw the strings up so that these ends are about 18" long.

6. Hook these suspension lines to the corners using the existing tie outs.

7. mark the side tie out points and figure out a way to attach new tie outs. I like to take some 550 cord sleeve and sew it flat onto the hem.

It should basically mount like a Sniveler. See here: http://216.83.168.206/index_files/Products%20List_files/Under%20Quilt_files/Under%20Quilt%20Installation%20Instructions.htm

Thanks Top, I'll give it a shot. I have always been a big poncho liner fan and this will give it a way to live on...
