It's listed on the shelter list here - currently planning a section from Dicks creek to where ever I can get in 3 weeks.
I was looking on the map and even as an "off trail" shelter I can't find it. Any clues?
Thanks :D

That adds new meaning to off trail! I wasn't looking quite that far away - oof. A well. Picking places to sleep is half the fun of planning:banana
Of course what's that saying about plans and the enemy? hehe
What do you think - 3 weeks of hiking from Dick's Creek to just past Apple House Shelter (Elk park or whatever you want to call it). Most days seem reasonable - some are a bit longer. Worst case I can hop off at Erwin. I'm just hoping that I don't get last years continual days of rain and fog. I hike for the views, and lets just say fog is not a prefered view.

Does anyone know about the current water situation at this shelter?

That's Little Laurel Shelter and there's Laurel Fork shelter near Hampton, TN.
