high point anyone? thank you benten i think i will. wait. that part of new jersys trail was just in the new york times for being new. holy crap! what have they done with all the old trail! does some trailworker take the old trails home and lock them up? or worse,..sell them on ebay? are they being recycled into gradded trails leading to and from niagra falls bathrooms? do they end up scrapped for their blazes and birdhouses? i hate relos. i have asbergers sameness thinggy.all new things suck. all old things were better. we must return to the ways of the butterchurn and washboard before its too late!
my pill sinthisized sony icf pro 80 is capable of picking up space chatter from the astronauts. i got an attenuater for it to go real low in the bands.its cool to listen to sw on a clear night.i got a squelch and all the bells and whistles. if youve never heard live racists or kkk radio casts, its unreal. in a morbid and exstreemly horrid way.i study morbostic morbainium sometimes. just so i know how sick the world is at any one moment. then i usually retreat to my lexlutherlike lair early and catch sienfield.

I'm thinking of starting in the vicinity of New York, and doing a SOBO to High Point. The (relatively) new part of the Trail in New Jersey that I'm looking forward to is the boardwalk.
Anyone else interested, too? :welcome

at casa de cammo after a wonderfull 20 mile weekend walk with cammi, jack and stonewall. slept at high point shelter and the secret shelter. steaks each night and sunshine each day . three thru hikers and a couple day trippers out for a week. met the caretaker of the secret shelter . good dude, hade bears in camp sat night. walked barefoot from oil city road to high point. a new leangth walking barefooted for me. felt great. rained cats and dogs sun nite. was in my megamid without the floor and was dry and crispy! cammo and cammi got wet in there tent due to saggitis. stonewals hammoke worked great for him. will post pics when jack drives me home . made sassafrass tea with honey and ate crawfish stonewall gathered. they were lobstery delishous. another wild food added to my larder. thanks stonewall. the donkeys at the secret shelter were screwing loudly each 20 min. that sucked. the guy and girl couple thru hikers started on springer mar 15th. his name was wingpants or something. his girlfriend had a banjo and he has a guitar. the other long distance hiker was ted and his wolfdog. very nice. hung out last night starwatching and moon pointing . cammis first hike . shes a pro. for any of you wondering what cammo jacks house looks like, its cammo color! ticks were attacking everyone but me. bugs dont like my low blood sugar. i never get bothered while others are eaten alive. ended with a huge breakfast just as it started. a hug from stonewall and a prommise to walk the longtrail together in august when he returnes from france and climbing mont blank. lucky rock dog!stonewall is a proficient climber and we will climb together someday. all are happy and sated from our trailfeast. suggestion.....get yourself hikin and leave your worrieys behind. i have such a calm now from the trail. by friday ill be bitchin to the man. jesus forgive me for the stress i will wine about soon enough. and thank you lord for the trail and the friends. prayers for the goats 17 year old brother who is in intensive care with an infected heart. goat called and we cheered him up as well as we could. its a good thing he diddnt go to trail days.

That's to make sure you stay just one night. You're not the first to mention the donkeys. Well, I dunno about the "screwing" part but I've heard several others complain about all-night braying.

cammo jack in his usuall cammoesk cammoings, picked a sweet spot on the trail i have never seen. the legond is true. jersy is flat and beautiful. what a break from climbing and falling and not having veiws or grass. high point area is the sweetest! secret shelter ruels. and crawfish are good eating! this area is perfect for first times and kids. its even better for romantic donkey fun.and the small town of unionville new york rocks. it is close to the trail and smaller than your average tiddly winks team. the hiking is supreemly easy and full of wonder and facination. it has ponds and styles and frogs and wilds. from feilds to woods to lanes far from the hood. moons and stars and planets too. this place is perfect for giggleing for one, or for two. its small and its neat and i love it complete. with stonewall and cammo and cammi , its neat. ill visit again. i swear that i will. its all i need. its really quite the pill.

this escape from philadelphia episode saw the first bacon feild tests(dubbed "baco 1" by fleash eating scientists at cal tech's department of hydrogenated oil studys) in preperation for the all bacon shelter proposal. under study by cheif baconologist dr stonewall were the effects of an all bacon diet. whilst professor weinstone was to establish an outline for an all bacon based civilization and its geo political implications. the all bacon shelter is schedualed for completion in early 2009. here , dr stonewall, or "thick cut peppered " as hes known in bacon circles, consumes bacon for the morning meal. the other test subjects shown are the 2006 bacon sniffing champs from beloit wissconson, home of the worlds thickest slice of bacon, ma and pa cammo. the cammos ran the bacon fasting trials in witch bacon was used as a strong lure to bring them down off a mountaintop far away. the cammos arrived from the summit in a near bacon frenzy proving the collective hypothisis that bacon supperseeds even sexdrive.

in a world where both of your cheese filled combos are totally under water,....this mapdannas for real. cammi drinks sassifrass tea and gazes into the primortial fire resurecting primitive urges on her first outing to our AT. she walked about 23 miles on our two day jaunt. later that night,...from cammos tent,....came snoring.you could actually feel the love, as cammo snored and cammi sat awake sleepless, waiting for a lul in the comotion. devotion is not stopping a snorer.personally i like to play with snorers. clap your hands every time they get up to a rolling snor and disturb the crap out of there sleep. then knock on the wall or snap your fingers every time they even think of snoring. except ms. he couldnt be stopped. his vollume overoad the snor interupions. he just kept snorring and snorring like some kind of out of controll snoring energizer snorbunny. but if i were cammi, id get a clicker to click or something. hey! heres an invention for ya.....a wind up snore stopping clicker! il get my imported slave laborers working on it next time im in the matcave.

in the end, their was bacon. lots of it. in a dinner on the road home. and hugs and promisis to hike again. these films are intended to remind us all that an escape is needed. once a month at least. to keep it all in perspective.
cammojack served five years on the appalachian work gang . he still lives in a cammo colored house.
cammi went to nepal and climbed everest . shes working on her new book, "stop snorring, a womans journey". she also lives in a cammi colored house.
steave, aka stonewall, works for the south american nations selling combos to undercomboed kids. in his spare time hes writting the sequal to his first book "the ups and downs of being named steave"
i am currently serving 3 to 5 for crawfish poaching.im up for parroll next weekend.may go out with stonewall if anyone wants to see the st anthonys wilderness and rauch gap.

My cat got some disease from eating crawdaddies out of the stream behind my house. Seriously, at least that what the vet said and what he supposedly treated her for. I guess we should have prepared them properly for her. BTW, is there an insult lower than "cyberhiker"? How were hikers insulted, what names were they called, before the internet?

If the weather breaks I vote for a Saturday AM departure for points unknown. Maybe we can all get together for the Black Rebel show on Friday night at the TLA (I'm not that hip).

I've seen this kind before. Probably monitors the board using one of those crank-powered $100 laptops I keep hearing about on the internets. Be weary...their quilts are impregnated with nanotechnology and their pies with DMT. They are a rogue branch of Amish society and should not be confused with the bowling sect. At night approach with caution as they are indistinguishable from hikers in all physical aspects save for clothing. I've seen a back of amish devour a college student in one sitting. You don't know.
Be weary...
I've long been weary of being wary. Seems you can't trust anyone anymore!;)

sorry cammo. i thaught of starting a new thread but its not really right to be useing the site this way in the first place. i am of course , one hiker going for a hike with friends. its not too newsworthy. now ,..where to go. dear johnny thunder, i need you to call me. i dont have your # im ready to get picked up at 8 but dont think panzer can walk as far as us and was wondering if you knew that the trail in dunncannon was 3 hours from philly. me and panzer were talkin on the phone earlier and we were thinking of seeing if you would like to go to the high point new jersey / new york area witch is closer and possibly alot more beautifull. its fun there. so is the doyal and its surrounding trail. its a decision we need to make so panzer can know if hes comming . if your heart is set on a perticular place, fine. im all in no matter what. panzer needs to deal with it. ill leave my own son to walk in the woods. sorry panzer. but its true. i once cut an old lady off and knocked her to the ground to get to the trail. kidding. my son just left to stay arround the corner at his best friend dannials house. so now im free to pack my pack in that embarrassingly anal way i do. where i stroke and inspect and preen each peice of gear into launch configuration. only then, when its grab and go,...can i rest. and ill lay out the prepings for breakfast too. so as to eliminate as many extra movements in the morn as possible. i went with my son max to whole foods market and purchased two dry aged new york strip steaks at 22 bucks each. next, me and max asked our cabby to pull into the liqure store and wait. as we entered , i said to my son,..bet you wish you could buy stuff here. hes 17. to witch he replied, dad, if i wanted booze, i could go to a store in camden that sells without asking for id. we laughed. its true but max hates booze so im off the worry hook. i got another wack of that super thick bacon and im commin out to feast. rain or shine johnny. oh,..almost forgot, your nickname shall be,....johnbolt. old fart is grandpa walton and im ike godsey. i own the general store on waltons mountain. but your jonbolt walton jr for sure. johnney thunders too hard to spell. i spell jonney different so much it pisses me off even. now hold still while i gas you!(dentist from the simsons)

johney thunder is a natural hiker. hes got the skill. hes pumped and psycked and motovated. all the right gear and fun and smart. a hikers hikin partner. he walks till dark and hitches and yogys rides and reads maps and all that good stuff. welcome to the blaze johnny. your very welcome to hike with me anytime. had a blast and then some. thunder will be thruhiking april 1st from springer. look for this one to go far. i will join him at that start for my 4th attempt if all goes well. my hopes of a southbound are over for this year. what a shame i chose not to pay taxes for 6 years when if i had, id be very able to have thruhiked anytime at all. as it is , oweing 101000.00$ to the fed,...my plans are curtailed.i make 40 + a year and have several million dollars worth of art to sell so im not exactly worried about how many dollars i owe. when im ready and gods ready, he will sell my art and heal my heart. all good things come from god. god,...the big invisible giant nobody talks to till their dieing. god is the dali lamma of traumma, the master of disaster. panzer hiked alone today due to a wrong turn i made and 7 miles walked the wrong way and the trail changing into an angry paingiver. rolledmy ankle badly and recovered mostly . walked barefooted a few miles and put on boots as last weeks 11 miles bare still sting a little. my ankle needs a bandage for about a year im thinking. panzer stayed at the wawa and jt and me walked on a quarter of a mile to a road and got an amazing hitch to unionvill with the hottest comming on to us woman and her world famouse nascar champion friend who took the road for a ride! we sliced and diced the crap ot of that tarmack. she was pressing up against thunders leg as he showed her directions to our car. then we noticed her fly was down. now you listen to me ,..chicks havent started wearing flydown jeans so i assume the gift of tease and torment was ours. i got this lady stuck in my mind . she was perfect for me. anyway, back to our story. panzer was having a good time sleeping early whilst we marched on into the night to gab 4 more miles. we had moved oour car closer to the secret shelter after the hitch so we could walk till dark. it was beautiful what with the skunk cabbage leaves covering the bogg boards in the twy of night. as we scurryed to the wonder of the secret shelter in the minutes about 918pm. we found it empty ,tranquill and sureal the way it is when only one or two share such a spot. we talked till the wee hours of all the possible outcomes of panzers walk. would he do this or that. hitch or walk, sleep late or wake and walk. our stats on his situation kept us busy all day walking around checking trail heads and his truck while getting a final mile or more for our own still greedy to walk asses. we seem to both love the trail as much as i see around these here times and folk. hes an old school gent and along with panzer and cammo and just enough others, seems to say, ive got friends. well thank god and you guys. and cammi. its about damm time i met people who know how to stay alive more than 5 minutes of your life. i think ill keep thees hearts. each of them. thanks whiteblaze. your like a jewish matchmaker. ive been matched to hiker trash of my own kind.

i study a cut in half road snake while jonny thunder saved a yellowblazer. the area around the secret shelter is great in both directions. in two short weekends lve learned the road access points , water sourse and purity, plants and animals and people of this special area. im calling this 20 some mile section my new hangout. port clinton /hamburg/pinnical area is out for a while. cammo kept me afloat with critical info recalled from his photo memory and beamed to me enrought. he picks a good trail that cammo.yes sir. there is a severe roadkill epidemic smelling up life for many valleys over there around unionville.saw more than a few of each species reporting to the road for deathing. the unlifeing of it all1 oh the horror. i invented a new niche consumer frenzy. taxadermed roadkill with actual poses and wounds.

And as far as I know which I myself can not confirm or deny Matthewski is not doing a SoBo this year though he said he will hike the Long Trail with me starting in Mid August. right after the Long Trail Festival Aug 17th -19th
Please let me know if you have room for another loony on that outing. I'd planned on doing the LT this year anyway.

thats a hiker! panzer just told me i was calling his work number instead of his home. there switched in my cell. so all those times we debated about calling carrol, panzys wify,...and all those times we decided not to worry her,...all that would have happened if we called her would be that we would have gotten thru to panzer. witch would have allowed us to pick him up sat around 7 pm. he would need only walk a quarter mile to the road. we new how to get there and really wanted him with us at secret shelter. alas, he fared well singularly. thats whats great about panzer, hes fair.
this weekend is penciled in for ironmasters hostel and walking south to penmar. me and thunder are in possibly. whos next?join us. we are borg. we will assimilate your technology.
i installed a toilet and a popcorn maker on our last visit to ironmasters and donna. popcornfest 07 baby! pop and walk anyone?im hopeing we could sleep at the doyal fri nite so i can show johnny my secret retreet. (room 23) and see the old reck before saying hi to trail angel mary and driving the 35 min to boiling springs for a popwalk. a night in the woods and a walk back to donna and the ironmasters would be a great weekend. if anyones interested in this trip, you will need fun bags. some of the fun wont get had and will have to be packed up and taken home. tip: to enjoy leftover fun,..unwrap and place on bed of lettuce with tomatoe garnish with cappers if desired. photo note: allways check fun born on date to ensure hiking pleasure. hikers shown having actual fun.

happens to me all the time brother. only I call my handler my wife....it works better that way at night.
as to this weekend, I will check with the handler (oops, I mean wife) this evening. be warned, however, that I will be speed hiking. Ten days ago I started a new quest, and have been running five miles every morning. no miss, will be no miss for the next thirty days.
I put my trunks on down at the beach last weekend and they barely fit. also, my handler (i mean wife) said that I looked funny because my fat was hanging over the sides of my shorts. sometimes you have to make a move.

okay. its set in gold. we leave for the doyal from paoli at 5 pm friday afternoon on the 29th of june and walk south. welcome. we will be grilling the finest steaks money can be thrown away buying. we will possess fudge from mullers chocolates. we will have organic terryakki jerky from whole foods. the jiffypop corporation will be represented as will the sponsorers of the first .2mi , the droste chocolate foundation. most of the time will be spent gorging on freash hogies the first morning. then we'll pull out the big guns that eve.( organic dry aged new york strip bone out) the very steaks ms and i enjoied after our conquest of everest back in 85. as the moon rises, so does the plastic pints of whatever comes in plastic. the next morning, its "back to bacon" with host, matthewski, aka, baconboy. matthewski will be frying up the usual 18 oz;s per each two hikers on his bacon outrigger made entierly from sticks and his clickstand. were talkin stick cooked not stick fryed. theres a big difference in the high steaks world of bacon raceing.stick cooked means in a pan over a fire of sticks. stick fryed means wrapping around a stick over a fire.
meanwhile back in matts pack will be 6 x large brown organic eggs each nestled in a peice of tissue and protected in a double plastic egg box. sometimes if the crowd is lucky, they will see matthewski hurl his eggs hundreds of feet to an unsuspecting hiking partner who misses the catch and they hit the ground. only to have matthewski run over and show that the eggs are still safe. wow. what a superhiker matthewski is. he is so cool.
