I was wondering about how long it would take to walk from White Top Mtn. to Sugar Grove Va.
I would love to hike the trail (I will one day), but with my daily life I dont have the time. So I will settle for a shorter walk.

Wow! 2 to 3 days? Longer than I expected!
You are in Damascus, close to me. What would you recommend for a 15 to 18 hour walk? Maybe even to sleep on the trail somewhere.

it's 28 miles. i guess you could cover it in a day. as long as you're in shape for it.

Dickey Gap or VA. 16 at M.R. headquarters? Troutdale Baptist Church hostel east of Dickey Gap may let you park there. 276-677-4092 for info. You can park at M.R.H.

per http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/gwj/mr/ parking at the headquarters is not available due to construction - it is possible to park across 16 from the HQ however.
