Any recommendations on somewhere to stay (not camp) in Damascus? We also need to send a package to Damascus - any suggestions? Much appreciated, 3LC

Damascus has a lot of really good B&Bs, at varying prices, most findable on the Internet. We like the Lazy Fox.

I'm sure most B/Bs will hold a package for you, but Mt Rogers Outfitters is a good alternative.

Another recommendation for The Lazy Fox B&B: 276-475-5838

Make sure you leave enough space and time for Ginny's huge breakfast!

The Hiker Inn next to the Babtist Church is a nice med. price stay. Clean, soft beds and wonderful owner. 20$ bunk room 4 beds and 30$

for a private room w/ shared bath room, a descreet beer or two is ok too, if that's important.

I have never had the pleasure of staying at The Lazy Fox (tried twice but they were booked both times). My wife and I have stayed twice at the Victorian Inn (across the corner from Lazy Fox) and have had a nice stay at a reasonable rate. Very good breakfast also.

We stayed at the Victorian Inn following our section this week, and it was very nice. Jerry and Linda were very hospitable, accomodating us when we showed back up at their door last night, a day early in our return. Excellent breakfast, nice comfy beds.
