Hello to all our friends at WB. Toesocks fell going into DWG and now has a back injury. We are back in Auburn to seek medical treatment and will probably not return to the trail this year. Will keep you posted on the outcome.

Hey Toesocks I'm awfully sorry to hear about that, but you all made it further than me. That knee injury in Pearisburg turned out to be a stress fracture, and I had to get off in Waynesboro. You guys will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Toesocks, I read on your trailjournal. So sorry to hear that.

I'm a friend of Green Hornet's and saw that you had hiked with him a bit. I let him know on Saturday morning, when he called from Kent, CT. He had a fall as well, in NY. He was walking along a knife's edge, lost his footing and his knee was the first thing to hit on a rock. :(

He said he's starting to heal, but has been going pretty slowly to allow for that healing process.

We give you both our best and hope that Mr Toesocks has a full recovery. The trail will still be there.

I am so sorry to hear that. Back injuries really suck, even if you're not hiking. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

ToeSocks 1 and 2,

Thanks for the awesome trail journal, after i ran into you in NC (near Big Bald with Crossroads) I was tracking you all on your journal. I was very sad to hear that Toesocks hurt his back and you all had to hop off of the trail. I hope everything is going well and you two get back on the trail after everything is healed up.

We saw them in Baxter at the Birches, but Toesocks 1 was still having a lot of difficulty. He had Lyme disease on top of the broken rib. They tried to climb Katahdin but could not. I never saw a more loving and devoted couple. May God heal them quickly so they can complete their dream.
