Brasslite stoves are works of art, I gave away several as Christmas presents last year. For almost 2 years I have been using the solo-now discontinued. On this past weekends Smoky's hike we used the new Turbo2D--wow! I loved the solo but love even more the improvements of the 2D...it has two walls, can actually simmer (though I didnt try because I use cozys), doesnt have or need the little screw so easily lost, and holds 2 oz. of alcohol for a 20 minute burn time.
With a tit. kettle we boiled enough water for 2 freezed dried dinners and then put on a large cup of water for hot drinks which were ready easily by the time the dinners had 'cozied'....
This products gets a solid 10 for efficiency, aesthetics but you know they are pricy compared to a coke can stove, but remember they are truly pieces of art.

I've got a Brasslite Turbo II, I agree, they are a work of art. Are they worth the hefty price tag? Probably not, but I don't regret the purchase either. They burn well, boil fast enough if you use the right pan and set up, and don't try to overtax them . All in all, a nearly ideal choice for a long distance hike.

Just to let you all know Aaron from Brasslite now has both Turbo models on sale! Turbo I is $25 and Turbo IId is $35. He has also announced that he will be introducing a new model called the Turbo F (for Feather) which weighs less then an ounce!
Hope you find this info helpful.
