I'd like to do a solo thru-hike of the MSGT late this fall, probably towards the end of October, just before the snow starts to fall. Will I have any issues this time of year? I'm scheduling it this far out to give me time to get a few more overnight trips under my belt and to take advantage of the cooler weather. I also want to test out some of my gear in cooler temps. This will be my first point to point thru-hike of any kind so it seems like an appropriate trail for this.
