Heading out tomorrow to finish the Long Trail up North. Should be a 5 or 6 day jaunt depending how the cold gear feels in the back pack. I hiked from Mass Rt 2 to Jonesville back in August. Now it's Jonesville North.

Good luck Blister,

All I could manage was roughly about 1 mile an hour for the next 100 miles, plan your day accordingly. : )

Check that. From App Gap to Johnson was slow for me. Regardless, have a great hike!

Rain, Rain, Rain and more rain. Took the trip up and did some car camping waiting for the weather to clear. Home today and it is still raining. I had no views on Camels Hump in August and I'll be damned to climb Mansfield when the trail head is even fogged in. Been raining 5 days straight here in Vermont. Don't know when it will clear. I don't trust weather dot com either! Till the next journey

Blister,
Hope you have better luck when you finish up. Heard this is a fantastic section with Bolton, Belvidere, Jay peak and others. I'm planning a thru-hike of the LT this coming summer.
I was actually at the duck brook shelter on the night of the first, probably woulda ran into you if you stuck to your plan. I'm in school in Burlington right now. Woulda been nice to meet another Vermonter. Can't wait to hear how the end of the hike goes and happy hiking.
