Lots of hungry bears just waiting to steal your food too, if you're not careful. Kerosene 11-04-2003, 09:42 This is the trail I dream of hiking after I complete all of my AT sections in another 15 years! Haiku 11-04-2003, 09:47 I hiked the JMT this summer also, and had a great time. The scenery is simply stunning. If you want some solitude, head north with the handful of PCT hikers in early-mid June. Incredible scenery, lots of solitude. Just have to deal with the snow, which is part of the fun. 10 days for the JMT is pretty quick, but I suppose not having a lot of snow helps a bit. alpine 11-05-2003, 11:21 with drawn |
